Hier findest du "nur ein paar Bilder", die ich gemacht habe, nichts weiter. Ich hatte eine Menge Spaß dabei und wenn du auch nur ein einziges Mal "wow!" sagst, ist das alles, was ich wollte.

Hinweis: wenn du das Quicktime-Plugin für Netscape hast, könnte es Probleme bei der Darstellung der großen PNG-Bilder kommen.

Here you'll find "just some pictures" made by me, nothing else. But I had a lot of fun creating them and if you just once say "wow!" that's everything I wanted.

Ich hatte schon immer die Idee, zwei Bilder in diesem Linie-für-Linie Stil zu "mischen". Die wirklich gute Bilder von Cleopatra 2525 von der offiziellen Webseite waren ein guter Grund das endlich mal zu machen. Beide Bilder wurden verändert bzw. erstellt mit Paint Shop Pro. Danach wurden sie "gemischt" mit einem Visual Basic Programm, das ich selbst geschrieben habe. Visual Basic ist sicher nicht die richtige Wahl um das zu tun (es ist ja sooooo langsam...), aber -hey!- es ist halt unheimlich einfach damit zu programmieren. Das Bild ist noch ziemlich einfach, eben immer abwechselnd eine Line von je der beiden Bilder.

I always had the idea to "mix" two pictures in this line-by-line style. The real good pictures of Cleopatra2525 from the official website had been a good reason to do it now. Both origin-pictures were enhanced / created with Paint Shop Pro. After that, they were "mixed" with a Visual Basic program written by myself. Visual Basic might be not the right thing to do it with (it is sloooooow...), but -hey!- it's just easy to program with. This picture is still simple, just took line by line from each picture without modification.

Dieselbe Technik wie vorher, aber zusätzlich ein Ausblende-Effekt in der artwhorizen. Und "ja", meine Hoffnung würden die zwei aufrecht erhalten.

Same technique as before, but additionally a left-to-right fading effect in the artwhoriz lines. And "yes", my hope they would keep alive.

Dies hier war schon etwas schwieriger. Die Idee für das Ganze kam mir als ich bemerkte, daß Vicky Pratt auf zwei verschiedenen Bildern, die ich auf meiner Festplatte hatte, exakt gleich aussah. Das eine war eine Scharz/Weiß Photographie von ihr, das andere das altbekannte Promobild von Sarge. Eine kleine Drehnung des ersten, ein bißchen Nachbearbeitung beim zweiten, eine lange Versuch&Irrtum Phase beim Überblendungseffekt, ein bißchen Glück und [ZOOM!], fertig war's. Mein Favorit der ersten vier Artworks. Sieht sie nicht einfach umwerfend aus?

This came up a little bit more difficult. The idea for the artwork came when I realized that Vicky Pratt is looking exactly the same way on two different pictures I had on my harddisk. One was a black-and-white photograph of her, the other one the well known promopicture of Sarge. A little bit rotation on the first, a little bit retouching on the second, a huuuge trial-and-error testphase on the fading-effect for its correct position and angle, a little bit luck and [ZOOM!], 'ere we go. My favorite one of the first four artworks. Isn't she just breathtaking ?

Nicht so komplex wie metamophosis, aber irgendwie sieht's auch cool aus. Basis ist eines der ältesten Promobilder. Wegen dem Weglassen einzelner Linien des Hintergrunds wird dieser dunkler und somit "optisch unwichtiger". So bekommen unsere drei Schönheiten noch mehr Aufemrksamkeit in diesem Bild. Vielleicht hat es keinen "wooow!"-Effekt als die anderen Bilder, aber es lässt sich sicher ganz gut als Desktop Hintergrund verwenden - viel Platz für Icons...

Not as complex as metamorphosis but somehow cool looking, too. Origin is one of the earliest promopictures. Due to the loosing of lines the background gets darker and "optical more unimportant". So our three powerful beauties get even more attention on this picture. Maybe it has no "wooow!"-effect as the other three pictures, but it is quite good usable as desktop-wallpaper - much space for icons...

Hiermit bekommt Raina meinen Tribut. Typisches Beispiel von "Bild sehen, Idee haben, auf der Stelle in die Tat umsetzen". Zwei schöne und sehr helle Bilder - für einen sehr dunklen Charakter, hehe. Sie passen einfach zusammen. Unter einem Titel, der mir auf die gleiche, urplötzliche Art in's Gedächtnis gekommen ist: ansehen und den Titel einfach wissen. Und außerdem ist es auch noch im JPG-Format, ihr Glücklichen.

This is where Raina gets my tribute. Typical example of "see a picture, feel a spark in your mind, immediately start creating". Two nice and very bright pictures - for a very dark character, hehe. They just fit together. Under a title that came to my mind the same fast way: look at it and just know the title for it. And after all it fits into JPG-format, you lucky guys.

'Flying Lessons' ist eine wirklich coole Folge und wenn Cleo beim 'Ausspannen' ist, dann sollte man sich einfach zurücklehnen, zusehen und genießen. So wird auch dieser Teil der Serie von meinen Artworks abgedeckt.

'Flying Lessons' is a really cool episode and Cleo having her 'leisure time' is just worth to lean back, relax, watch and enjoy. So this little part of the show gets covered by my artworks, too.

Manchmal formen viele kleinen Dinge etwas viel größeres, wenn sie gemeinsam betrachtet werden. So auch hier. Wahrscheinlich hat jeder schonmal Poster gesehen wie dieses hier, aber ich denke das hier ist das erste von Cleopatra.

Sometimes a lot of small things form something bigger when viewed all together. As they do here. Probably you all have seen pictures or posters like that, but I bet the first time with a Cleopatra-content.

Die technischen Infos: das Programm zur Erstellung dieser Bilder habe ich selbst geschrieben. Keine große Sache. Ich wollte schon immer soetwas machen. Selber. Nicht das Programm von irgendjemand anderen verwenden. Man braucht einen wirklich großen Haufen kleiner Bilder. Ich hatte genau 938 passende, Größe 24 x 18 Pixel. Aus jenen puzzelt man dann das große Bild zusammen, indem man die Mittelwerte der Farben von den kleinen mit der Farbe der Pixel des großen vergleicht ( man braucht 42 x 42 kleine Bilder um letztendlich ein 1024 x 768 Pixel großes Bild zu erhalten ). Das ist es schon. Einfach, aber dauert seine Zeit. Aber sieht gut aus ;)

The behind-the-scenes info: the program to create those pictures I wrote myself. No big deal. I always wanted to make something like that. Myself. Not by using somebody elses programm. You just need a really huge pile of small images. I had exactly 938 appropriate ones, size 24 x 18 pixel. From them you puzzle together the big picture by comparing the middlevalue of the colors from the small ones with the colors of the pixels from the big one ( you need 42 x 42 small pictures to get a 1024 x 768 pixel picture ). That's it. Simple, but takes it's time. But looks good ;)

Wie bin ich an 938 kleine Bilder gekommen, ohne jedes einzelne verkleinern zu müssen? Hehe, gute Frage. Surfe auf Starman's Screencapture Webseite mit dem MS I-Explorer. Laß einfach jede Vorschau-Seite ( mit "Thumbnails" ) laden ( die großen Bilder braucht man sich garnicht anzusehen ). Jetzt könntest du sie einzeln speichern, eines nach dem anderen, aber es ist viel simpler, wenn du jetzt deinen Browser-Chache plünderst ;) Die Verkleinerung von 96 x 71 ( so groß sind die Thumbnails ) auf 24 x 18 hat mein Programm gemacht.

How I came to 938 small pictures without resizing every single one? Hehe, good question. Well, surf to Starman's screenpatures website with MS I-Explorer. Just let load every thumbnail-picture-page ( you don't need to look at the big ones, only the thumbnails ). Now you could save them one by one, but it's much simpler just to pillage you browser cache ;) The resizing from 96 x 71 ( the thumbnails are ) to 24 x 18 then did my program.

Ich denke es ist offensichtlich, daß Sarge jede Chance nutzt, um einem Bailey in den Hintern zu treten. In ihr muß ein so großer Hass schlummern. Ein Hass, der wahrscheinlich entstand, als sie noch Rose hieß. Aber etwas hat ihr Leben verändert. Deshalb änderte sie ihren Namen. Und jetzt hat sie ein klares Ziel vor Augen.

I think it's obvious that Sarge takes every chance she can get to kick some Baileys butt. In her must be such a hate. A hate which was probably formed when she still was called Rose. But something changed her life. So she changed her name. And she has a clear target in mind.
